The EMSI collector training that you are about to undergo is a comprehensive error correction course, which covers both mandated and non-mandated collections and is specific to the errors you may have committed. Successful completion of this training program will qualify you to continue to perform Department of Transportation (DOT) urine specimen collections.
The EMSI error correction training program requires you complete the following steps:
An On-line Training Course to refresh your knowledge of the Federal rules and guidelines for specimen collection, pertinent to the fatal errors committed.
Proficiency Demonstrations to display your ability to complete specimen collections based on the training and examination material you will be completing, which includes mock collections reviewed by an EMSI designated trainer within your office.
Upon successful completion of the Training and Proficiency Demonstrations, you will be granted status to continue to perform specimen collections on behalf of EMSI.
